Due to the current 9pm planning curfew on our floodlights at Barrfields, and with our planning application to extend these hours to 10pm on limited occasions still under consideration, we have unfortunately had to make alternative arrangements for our upcoming Lowland League West fixtures against Pollok on 20th October and Cumnock on 28th October.
As agreement could not be reached with our opponents to bring either fixture forward to a 7pm kick-off, both matches will now be played at Ardrossan Winton Rovers FC, Anderson Terrace, Ardrossan, KA22 8JP, with a 7.45pm kick-off.
I would like to place on record our sincere thanks to Ardrossan Winton Rovers FC for their very kind assistance in agreeing to host both fixtures, and to the Lowland League West for approving these arrangements. The support and cooperation of both parties are greatly appreciated.
I would also like to reassure our supporters that season tickets will remain valid for both matches. We appreciate that playing away from Barrfields creates additional inconvenience for our fans, and we will endeavour to arrange seats on our club minibus for anyone who may otherwise struggle to get to either game. Further details on transport arrangements will be communicated as soon as possible.
Sadly, this situation is entirely outwith the club’s control, and we have had to work within the existing planning restrictions while our application is being considered. We sincerely regret the inconvenience this causes our supporters, but remain hopeful that a positive outcome to the planning application will allow us to avoid similar issues in the future.
Thank you, as always, for your continued support and understanding.
