Pre-season 2023-24 is go on Wednesday 5 July
Your team kick-off on the evening of Wednesday 5 July against Greenock at Barrfields. Greenock, managed by former Largs player and coach Gary Fleming, offer a good test for opening day.
We are grateful to Greenock for being first footers. We look forward to welcoming you to Barrfields. Entry is £5 for adults, £2 concessions.
Largs finish pre-season on Saturday 22 July with the Derek Scott Trophy match, at Barrfields, against Kilbirnie Ladeside. This is a celebration of the life of Match Secretary Derek Scott. We know this will be a big afternoon for everyone.
We also defend our John Grant Tournament trophy against Johnstone Burgh on Saturday 8 July at 2.30pm. This tournament will be at Johnstone’s Keanie Park. If we win this game, we play the final the following day at the same time, against either Glenvale or Maryhill. Last season’s trophy win, pictured below, was a great way to start what was a brilliant season. Let’s do it again, but it won’t be easy.

Pre-season is more than friendly matches. Through pre-season 2023-24, your team will be training twice a week. Manager Stuart Davidson will make sure your team get intense preparation in early. You may see them jogging across a beach dune, or up a hill. Keep a look out for your team when you travel.
